Supersize Your Ceiling with Luxalon XL Panels (release) Norcross, GA November 7, 2005 - Hunter Douglas Contract Ceilings announces its latest product addition to the Luxalon line of metal ceilings, the XL Panel. The XL (extra large) Panel is designed specifically for spaces such as airports, convention and transportation centers, sports arenas and educational establishments. XL Panels can span up to 5 feet in width, 15 feet in length and offer superior flatness and light weight. The XL Panel will be available in the U.S. and Canada beginning in December 2005. "When faced with projects that call for large-scale ceilings, the XL Panel provides a technically sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing solution for architects and designers," said Kim Graaskamp, Director of North American Sales and Marketing for Hunter Douglas Contract Ceilings. The XL Panel builds on Hunter Douglas' 40-year history of innovation in metal ceilings by incorporating, for the first time, composite technology from the aircraft industry. An intricate honeycomb structure is embedded within the XL Panel's light aluminum skin, providing the tiles with strength but not extra weight. The aluminum extrusions framing the panels allow for a near seamless appearance when installed. This construction method gives architects of today a new system to help design the projects of tomorrow. Key Features of the XL Panel:
