17 May, 2011
NEW ORLEANS, LA (May 11, 2011)—Hunter Douglas Contract is the sponsor of one of the five homes in New Orleans that were chosen for the AEC Cares—projectNOLA rebuild. Volunteers will participate in rebuilding a home that had extensive damages to the roof and ceiling after Hurricane Katrina swept through the area in 2005.
Damaged homes within the New Orleans Parish were chosen to be part of the AEC Cares—projectNOLA rebuild (NOLA stands for New Orleans, Louisiana), based on the extent of the damages and homeowners’ need for support. The outreach project, which was organized by New Orleans Operation Helping Hands, provides residential construction services, labor, and materials to the community.
AEC Cares is a service project designed to enhance the lives, safety and security of the parish community. Project participants include volunteer professionals from the architecture, manufacturing and contracting industries.
