Water Bottles Revived

NEW ORLEANS, LA (May 2011)—With the addition of GreenScreen® Revive, Hunter Douglas Contract now offers the most sustainable window shading fabric on the market. The fabric is made of 100% PVC-free polyester and contains a minimum of 89% Repreve ® fibers. GreenScreen Revive will be on display at AIA, May 12-14th in booth #1641.

GreenScreen® Revive roller shade fabric is made with PVC-free polyester using 100% recycled Repreve® fibers. Each yard of GreenScreen Revive fabric uses 11 post-consumer bottles.

Repreve® fibers are made from 100% recycled materials, a combination of post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste. When compared to the production process of virgin polyester, every one-pound of Repreve® polyester yarn conserves the equivalent of 0.4 gallons of gasoline. The yarn has the same performance as virgin polyester and nylon fibers.
