New Techstyle System Brings Aesthetic and Performance of Acoustic Ceilings to Walls
16 May, 2011
NEW ORLEANS, LA (May 2011) – Hunter Douglas Contract introduces Techstyle® Wall, a wall panel system that seamlessly connects from the wall to the ceiling plane, offering greater acoustic performance and a seamless design aesthetic. Techstyle® Wall will be on display on the Hunter Douglas Contract booth at AIA, May 12-14th in booth #1641.
"Techstyle® Wall was developed to offer both a design element and acoustic control for use in schools, conference rooms, auditoriums, convention centers and other environments that require optimal sound absorption," said Ko Kuperus, Senior R&D manager, Hunter Douglas Contract.
A snap-in mounting method provides easy installation for vertical, sloped and horizontal ceiling surfaces. The patented fiberglass construction reduces the amount of material by more than 50% when compared to traditional acoustic wall panels that perform at equivalent levels. The spring-beam construction makes Techstyle® Wall panels extremely resilient to impact.
Hunter Douglas Contract offers the Techstyle® Wall panel system in three design options:
Canvas Wall Panels, with an unprecedented, affordable range of colors and textures, including color matching to any major paint manufacturer, wood grain, plaster, leather, and more; Translucent Wall Panels, that allow panels to be backlit and create a glowing aesthetic; and Techstyle E, offering a white, drywall-like appearance.
